Acquisition of Mainco

On 19 July 2010, the ARA Group, through its building services subsidiary, ARA Property Services (ARA), acquired certain assets and assumed certain liabilities from Mainco, a facility services business that specialises in Multitrade services. Mainco has Multitrade service contracts with major commercial clients throughout Australia. We are pleased to advise that all Mainco tradespeople have remained with ARA, This workforce provides our combined ARA and Mainco client base with a highly skilled team of tradespeople servicing their needs going forward.

ARA Property Services awarded Refurbishment Contract for Victoria Police Building

On 29 January 2009, ARA Property Services (on behalf of the ARA Group) was awarded the contract to carry out refurbishment project works for the Victoria Police Building located at 412 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne. This project is valued at more than $850,000. The works include mechanical services, fire services and hydraulic services. The project commences in February and is expected to run until September 2009.

ARA Property Services is the incumbent facility maintenance provider for the Victoria Police Building. ARA Property Services’ success with the Refurbishment Contract will ensure the integrity of services outlined above is maintained.

ARAPS - 24 Hour Helpdesk

ARA Property Services is happy to announce the launch of its 24 Hour Helpdesk - 1300 660 573. It is a national helpdesk, providing one point of contact, centralising the delivery of a wide range of technical property maintenance services Australia-wide, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. This provides immediate benefit and increased efficiencies for property owners and managers.

ARA Property Services - Associate Partner at Annual Facility Management Conference

ARAPS was an Associate Partner at the Facility Management Conference which was held in Melbourne in late 2007. The conference facilitator was the Marcus Evans Group and conference delegates included Facilities, Property, Operations, Building and Maintenance Managers and Directors from across major industry verticals in Australia.
The FM conference provided participants with an insight into the future of Facilities Management in Australia and the means to improve sustainability and asset management for facilities, whilst minimising costs by using the most appropriate technology tools.
ARA Property Services involvement in the conference included Ian Curl, General Manager of ARA Asset Management Services, presenting a case study to conference delegates on AIMS, the ARA Integrated Maintenance Services System.
